Per Heidenreich
Chairman of the Board

Mr. Heidenreich has a broad range of experience in shipping, logistics and IT. In 1984, he founded Heidmar Inc. which controlled approximately 100 oil tankers and had two subsidiaries in Texas in the oil service industry. In 2006, Mr. Heidenreich sold Heidmar to the Morgan Stanley private equity group. He currently serves as Chairman of Penfield Marine, a spin-off of Heidmar, and manages Heidenreich Enterprise LP, a family owned private equity company. He and his wife are active philanthropists through the Per and Astrid Heidenreich Family Foundation in Greenwich, Connecticut. These past innovative and entrepreneurial accomplishments contribute valuable experience to our board and organization. Born and educated in Norway, Mr. Heidenreich became a US citizen in 2005

James W. Biondi, M.D.

James W. Biondi, M.D., serves as Executive Chairman of Cardiopulmonary Corp.  Dr. Biondi also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ivy Biomedical Systems, Inc. and served as a Director of Zoll Medical Corporation from 1997 to 2012.  Dr. Biondi holds a B.S. degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an M.D. degree from Albany Medical College, and received his training in Anesthesiology, Cardiac Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, and Pulmonary and Critical Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine and Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Biondi holds an Advanced Professional Director Certification from the American College of Corporate Directors.

Aurelia Boyer

Ms. Boyer's 40-year health care career spans a wide range of roles including nursing, education, administration, consulting and information technology. She recently retired after 12 years as the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of New York Presbyterian Hospital and Health System where she joined in 1993 as Manager in Information Technology. A recognized expert and innovator in health care information technology, HIMSS named her as one of the most influential HIT Men and Women of the Year in 2015. Her practical and deep knowledge of clinical and health IT issues and challenges are a valuable addition to our board and organization. Ms. Boyer eared a BSN and MBA from the University of Michigan and an MSN from Wayne State University.

Robert A. Chernow

Mr. Chernow is Founder and President of Educational Services for Entrepreneurship, a nonprofit organization assisting universities and small enterprises in shaping their entrepreneurship initiatives. Mr. Chernow has had a 40 year career in entrepreneurship and health care: he has served as the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Norwalk Community College in Norwalk, CT; Vice Provost for Entrepreneurship and Clinical Professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI); Senior Vice President and head of entrepreneurship at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation; the Founder and President of two major health care IT companies, one domestic and one international (Corporate Health Strategies and World Specialists Online); President of two major health care companies (MetLife's Managed Care Group and The New York Presbyterian Health Care System); a Global Health Care Partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers, and a Peace Corps Volunteer in Brazil.

Mr. Chernow has been a guest lecturer at universities including MIT, Stanford, and the Harvard Business School, as well as the U.N. Business Council and the organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). He earned a BA in Economics from Colgate University, and a MPH in Health Care Management from the University of California, Berkeley, and did his doctoral work in epidemiology and public health at Yale.

James M. Cotter, JD

Mr. Cotter is a recognized mergers and acquisitions (M&A) expert and co-founded the investment management firm Breeden Capital Management.  He also served as vice chairman and partner at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett, an international law firm headquartered in New York where his practice primarily focused on mergers and acquisition advisory work. Mr. Cotter previously served as a director of Zale Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange listed company and as president of the New York Law Institute. His M&A and legal experience bring essential insights to our board and organization. He received his AB degree from Fairfield University and his law degree from the University of Virginia.

Per Grobstok

Mr. Grobstok is the founder of several companies including Økonomisk Literatur AS (ØL), a publishing company specializing in financial and business reference books for Scandinavia. He heads Service Invest AS, a family owned investment company. Additionally, he is Chairman of the Board of RIIS Group of Trondheim, as well as serving as a board member of a number of companies located in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the UK and USA. Mr. Grobstok utilizes the expertise and knowledge that he has developed in founding and investing in companies as a member of our board. He earned his BA from Washington State University.

Ole B. Hovind, MD

The founder of Sonitor Technologies, Dr. Hovind is a physician and earned a Master's degree in of Public Health from Harvard Medical School. He graduated from the Norwegian National Defense College in 1984 and served as a Major in the Norwegian Army. In addition to having worked as a family practice physician, he was Director of the Hospital Division in the Norwegian Department of Social Affairs. In this position, he had several international engagements through the World Health Organization as a lecturer and advisor. Dr. Hovind has been a member of the City Council of Oslo, and a City Counselor with responsibility for Health and Social Affairs. He was the Medical Director of Norway's largest private physician's clinic, Volvat Medical Center. Dr. Hovind served as the Chief Executive Officer of Sonitor Technologies AS from 1997 through 2006, and as Chairman of the Board from 2003 - 2013. Dr. Hovind's background in public health allow him to bring a keen understanding of the issues and opportunities in this area to our board and organization.

Joe Toce

Mr. Toce is managing director of Andersen Tax, one of the largest independent tax and advisory firms in the US.  He has over 30 years of experience in advising private clients on a broad range of tax, financial and business matters. He has represented several of the largest family companies in the US on tax and estate planning matters and has substantial experience with charitable giving. His tax and financial knowledge bring valuable expertise to our board and organization.
