Stamford, CT - Sonitor Technologies announced today that it will introduce a new generation of efficient and versatile RTLS technology at the upcoming HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) annual conference being held in Chicago from April 12th - 16th.
Sonitor's new Quad-LT Location Transmitter Series is an important advance for wireless RTLS technology that offers more zone coverage with less hardware. A single location transmitter can now divide a room into four discrete zones, making Sonitor's RTLS solution extremely efficient in terms of installation, maintenance and cost. Conventional systems typically require up to 4 to 5 times the amount of hardware to create the same number of zones. In a large open area, such as an Emergency Department, a combination of Quad-LT transmitters can be used to create virtual rooms of almost any shape and size.
The Quad-LT is powered by four alkaline D-Cell batteries, yielding additional cost savings as well as environmental and safety benefits. Sonitor has engineered its ultrasound-based RTLS infrastructure to maximize the efficiency of standard alkaline batteries eliminating the need for lithium battery technology .
