This new equity, raised from its existing investor base, will be used to meet the growing, global demand for Sonitor's unique and differentiated RTLS (real time location system) and to fund and accelerate its growth and innovation strategy, addressing healthcare and other attractive industry verticals. With the addition of this latest raise, shareholders have invested a total of 431 million NOK (approximately $63 million) and the company has nearly doubled its staff over the last 12 to 18 months.

Incorporating Sonitor’s proprietary ultrasound positioning technology, with Wi-Fi, and LF technologies, the new tag is the smallest full feature tag currently available on the market. Stamford, CT - Sonitor Technologies announced today that it will introduce a new generation of efficient and versatile RTLS technology at the upcoming HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) annual conference being held in Chicago from April 12th - 16th.

Sonitor's new Quad-LT Location Transmitter Series is an important advance for wireless RTLS technology that offers more zone coverage with less hardware. A single location transmitter can now divide a room into four discrete zones, making Sonitor's RTLS solution extremely efficient in terms of installation, maintenance and cost. Conventional systems typically require up to 4 to 5 times the amount of hardware to create the same number of zones. In a large open area, such as an Emergency Department, a combination of Quad-LT transmitters can be used to create virtual rooms of almost any shape and size.
